The Provencal estate, Domaine de Fontanelle, in the heart of Provence, about 25 minutes from Aix-en-Provence, is picture-perfect in every respect. Since 1864, the estate has been owned by the family and is now managed and maintained by Pierre and Marie-Claude Fontanel. And above all the symbol of the elegant French art of living is preserved here. You can look forward to spacious gardens and lovingly designed rooms that couldn’t be better for a little break from everyday life. The old wine cellar is home to international galleries and museums that curate changing exhibitions.
Restaurant
No one less than star chef Jèrome Faure takes care of the culinary well-being here. In the evening, guests can choose between the gourmet restaurant “Le Champe des Lunes” and the casual bistro “La Cuisine d`Amelie”. Both of them offer a farm-to-table cuisine as well as an excellent selection of wines. Pierre and Marie-Claude belong to the modest winemakers of Roussillon. They don’t really like to be in the limelight, but their wines definitely belong there.
